Our Vision is to be the premier provider of globally recognized and industry-relevant tertiary education and training in the region.
The SBCS Mission
Our Mission is to deliver industry-relevant tertiary education and training, using a student centric approach, with staff, facilities and courseware of the highest quality, in the transformation of our human resource into the region's most valuable natural resource.
A direct result of us fulfilling our mission statement is seen in the thousands of individuals we have trained, in our more than twenty five (25) years of existence, in the disciplines of : Accountancy, Information Technology, Business Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Media, Mass Communication, Engineering, Electronics and Foreign Language( Spanish ).
To transform our students into innovative, ethical and creative lifelong learners, with a drive for excellence, and a passion for challenges, matched only by an overarching desire to enrich our global community.
A great majority of students are now holders of one or more of the following credentials: BSc, BA, MBA, MSc., MA, ACCA, MCSE, A+, CCNA, PMBOK etc.
Many more of our students have benefited from our professional development courses in the areas of: Business Writing, Supervisory, Management, Customer Service, Health and Safety, Project Management, Linux, CCNA, MCSE, A+, Windows, Microsoft Office, Spanish. Consequently, many of our graduates are now playing a pivotal role in organizations throughout the region.
To embrace the widest possible cross-section of the population in our quest to transform the region's human resource capital, we have strategically located our four campuses, to ensure ease of access, by all persons interested in a tertiary level education.
Our flagship campus is located in Champs Fleurs; this campus has the dual advantages of easy access to transportation, and tranquil and scenic surroundings, by virtue of being nestled on the foothills of the Northern Range, providing the ideal environment for the effective delivery of our service. This campus includes fully furnished and air-conditioned facilities, equipped with the latest technology: over thirty classrooms, two study rooms, a library, nine computer labs, an Electronics and Telecommunications lab and a Computer Based Testing Centre ("CBT") for Microsoft Office Specialist, A.C.C.A., Prometric (Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP), A+, Network+ and AutoCAD) and Pearson VUE, Prometric (Cisco, Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) and CompTIA).
SBCS' second campus on the outskirts of Port-of-Spain opened its doors for business on May 5, 2003, providing an ideally located training centre for companies and individuals in the capital city and its environs. Our campus in Port-of-Spain, comprises three separate buildings, located next to each other, and includes seven computer labs, four Corporate Training rooms and four additional classrooms. This branch is also the centre for our HND and BA Hons Media & Communication programme, and is equipped with complete sound and television studios.
Our third campus was launched on February 20, 2006. This state-of-the-art facility is located in Cocoyea Village, San Fernando (obliquely opposite the Mon Repos Fire Station). A significant contribution is made to the national economy by businesses operating in the southern city. However, southern business entities and individuals have traditionally faced challenges in accessing high quality tertiary education and training in South. It is with this in mind that SBCS decided to take our services to the city of San Fernando.
SBCS fourth campus, located in the east, is at the corner of Bealieu Avenue and Trincity Boulevard in Trincity. Formally opened in September 2008, this spacious, state of the art facility brings to the east the best traditions of quality lecturers, world class programmes, and excellent service that has made SBCS one of the premier providers of private tertiary education. Our programmes in Graphic Design are primarily delivered at this campus, which is equipped with a Mac Lab and soon, a design studio.
In order to ensure that our students are provided with an excellent service, we have developed over the years, state of the art training facilities in Information Technology and Business, and the underlying philosophy of 'quality customer service' permeates all of our campuses. Our fully equipped labs offer our students hands on experience in the areas of study where practical execution of theory enhances workplace functionality for example, Power Generation, Fibre Optics, and Information Technology.
All our lecture rooms are designed to provide our students and lecturers with the optimum conditions required for knowledge transfer.
Our Lecturer resource base stands at over one hundred and fifty (150) academically qualified individuals who have many years of practical experience in their related fields.
Our academic team comprises of numerous holders of BSc, MSc, MBA and PhD qualifications, in various fields of study, awarded by some of the most world-renowned unversities. This team makes invaluable contributions to our objective of delivering the highest quality service to our students.
Our team of lecturers is ably supported by over 170 full time staff, comprising primarily administrators and support staff.

SBCS is well positioned at this time to deliver customer focused, relevant and internationally recognized programmes from some of the most highly rated Universities in different modalities, from tutor supported to distance learning, and including several combinations of the two. We have taken into consideration all combinations required by potential and present students, and have tailored our schedules to meet and in most instances exceed our students' expectations.
