The workshop teaches participants to enhance their personal development in the field of Supervisory Management. It provides a practical understanding of key roles and responsibilities, and it helps participants to learn the important skills required to be a successful Supervisor/Manager.
Persons who are already in supervisory positions and who are looking to learn some practical approaches to the many responsibilities involved.
On completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Build awareness of the new expectations of a Supervisor/Manager
- Demonstrate the importance of developing good problem solving and decision making skills
- Introduce basic aspects of effective self-leadership
- Demonstrate the benefits of working together as a team to build awareness of the importance of the “softer” management skills

- Supervisory Management
These courses will provide supervisory level personnel (supervisors, potential supervisors, and professional level staff) with knowledge and skills required for effectively carrying out their responsibilities. Participants will develop a personal awareness, as well as an awareness of the people, activities, and management issues involved in achieving results in a challenging and dynamic work environment. It concentrates on the leadership actions for developing a team but also includes the key management skills of decision making, problem solving, performance analysis, conflict management, motivation and presentation.
