The Corporate Education Centre held its bi-annual Programme Committee Meeting for the Edinburgh Business School (EBS), Heriot-Watt University MBA/MSc. programmes at the Champs Fleurs campus on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
As part of our commitment to continuous quality improvement, this bi-annual meeting brings together the various stakeholders of our EBS postgraduate programmes to address a range of topics, all of which impact SBCS’ effective delivery of the qualifications.
In attendance were administrators of the Corporate Education Centre (CEC) – the unit charged with the administration of SBCS’ EBS postgraduate qualifications – faculty of the EBS MBA/MSc programmes, current students and alumni. Chaired by Ms. Michelle Kong (Manager, CEC), the session looked at a number of areas including the quality of student engagement with the course content, student performance at the July 2018 examination sitting, feedback on EBS’ e-assessment model and the standard of the academic and administrative services provided to the learners.
Valuable feedback was received from both the commendations and developmental points shared, and efforts will be made to implement the recommendations made where feasible and practical.
We thank all attendees for their time and participation; best of luck to all Masters’ students writing exams in December 2018.
