SBCS’ Champs Fleurs campus was the focus of attention on Saturday, January 06, 2018 as the first cohort of new graduate students for 2018 was welcomed to the halls of SBCS Global Learning Institute. It was here that the Corporate Education Centre (CEC) hosted an orientation session for new students of our Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University Masters qualifications.
It is said that every great journey begins with a single step; for those students in attendance, the session stood as that first step on what is hoped to be a rewarding adventure.
A stirring address from Executive Director, Dr Robin Maraj set the tone for the day’s proceedings. In it, he warmly welcomed the students to not just SBCS, but also to postgraduate study. He highlighted the origins of the MBA qualification, advised them to make practical use of their learnings, and exhorted them to give of their best. Following this, our Course Administration and Student Services representatives provided both academic and administrative advice. They introduced the students to the full array of academic support services at SBCS that are now at their disposal.
The session concluded with lecturer, Mr Brandon Greaves sharing his perspective on teaching on the programme and also providing vital tips to ensure success with the Masters’ programmes.
Good luck and best wishes to all postgraduate students for this semester!
