Programme Brief

The City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Engineering (Fabrication and Welding Technology) was designed for persons aspiring to become certified welders.  This qualification focuses on the practical skills and underpinning knowledge required to work in fabrication and welding and is therefore an excellent starting point for anyone seeking a career as a welder.

This course will provide you with a range of welding skills by combining both practical and theoretical training. Some of the welding process covered include Manual Metal Arc (Stick) welding, Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding and Oxy-acetylene (Oxy-fuel) welding. Assessment is undertaken through a combination of practical assignments and written examinations.
