Programme Brief

This course is designed to allow participants an appreciation of using new and familiar features Microsoft Excel 2016 to table, calculate, analyze and present information in spreadsheets that are easily secured, shared and, collaborated on, and printed.

 

Upon completion of this program, students can move on to the Microsoft Word 2016 or Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 programs.

INDICATIVE CONTENT

The following is a list of topics that will be covered during this programme:

  • Creating Basic Excel 2016 spreadsheets with calculations and summary functions; choosing from a variety of borders, cells styles and workbook themes; manipulating sheets, columns, rows and the data contained within.
  • Selecting or composing appropriate formulas and functions; troubleshooting and solving function errors; assigning names to cells and ranges; formatting values and creating custom number types; enforcing data validation, sheet level and workbook level protection.
  • Analyzing and presenting worksheet data using Charts, Sparklines, Diagrams, PivotTables, PivotCharts, What-if Analysis, and new Excel 2016 features
  • Collaborating, Exporting, Printing and Automating Excel 2016 with Comments, Tracking Changes, Consolidating, The Macro Recorder and Excel 2016 UserForms.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

There is an administration fee of $150 to be paid when registering. The deadline to register is one week before the start date of class after which a late administration fee of $175 will be charged. The credit price will apply if you wish to pay a down payment and installments. The down payment is 60% of the credit price plus the administration fee. The remainder is paid in installments before the end of the course.
