MBA Banking
Banking sector professionals need to have a wide range of skills and knowledge to equip them to meet the constantly changing challenges facing the modern financial sector. This MBA is especially valuable for people holding a professional qualification (including a qualification in accounting, finance, or related professions) who are employed in banks or other financial firms. The MBA Banking equips you to manage and advise on banking, and develop a number of bank functions. The subjects it covers include bank financial management, financial law, corporate finance, legal aspects of electronic banking, and a range of special subjects.
Entry Requirements
You should either have a recognized professional qualification (accounting, banking, CFA or related professional qualifications) or a first degree in economics, business administration, accounting or related discipline, as well as three years relevant work experience.
Programme Content
You will study five compulsory courses:
- Bank Financial Management
- Financial Law
- Risk Management: Principles and Applications
- Corporate Finance
- Law Regulation of Electronic Finance and Internet Banking
You will also choose one elective course:
- Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets
- Banking and Capital Markets
- Banking Regulation and Resolution of Banking Crises

Duration Of Programme
A minimum of two calendar years. Maximum registration of five years
Assessments
Each course is assessed by:
- Two assignments
- A three (3) hour examination held in October examination period
Each assignment consists of compulsory questions or an essay based topic, which should be answered in no more than 2500 words. Assignments and examinations are weighted 30:70
