The Management Information Systems pathway of the ABE Level 4 Diploma programme is designed for persons seeking a career in the Management or Information Technology field.
After completing the Management Information Systems pathway of the ABE Level 4 Diploma, one can enter into the BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing and Systems Development, then progress to their final year of the BSc. (Hons) in Computing & Information Systems from University of Greenwich.
Time frames for completion of the respective programmes:-
ABE Level 4 Diploma in Management Information Systems - 6 - 9 months
BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing and Systems Development - 2 ½ - 3 years
University of Greenwich BSc. (Hons) in Computing & Information Systems - 1 - 1 ½ years
University of Greenwich MSc. in Information Systems Management (ISM) - 2 years
Students applying for GATE must fulfill the following entry requirements:
Level 4 Diploma
- 16 years or older and four (4) O’ Level passes inclusive of English or
- 21 years or older, two (2) years working experience and completed secondary school education
The ABE Level 4 Diploma in Management Information Systems offers greater flexibility to persons wishing to pursue qualifications in Information Technology, Business Management, or Human Resource Management, as persons completing this Diploma may gain direct entry into the BTEC Higher National Diplomas in Business or Computing and Systems Development, then progress to their degree.

Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE)
This programme is GATE approved.
Nationals of Trinidad and Tobago can apply for Government Assistance through the GATE Programme.
The Government subsidizes the full cost of tuition fees. Students wanting to subscribe for funding must fulfill the entry requirements of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Skills and Training (MTEST).
Students are not entitled to any additional GATE funding to repeat papers within ABE programmes. Exemptions would be considered on an individual basis by the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Skills and Training (MTEST).
Repeaters are offered a discounted fee, either at the start or during the semester.

All new students will be required to bring originals as well as copies of their CXC/GCE/CAPE certificates, job letters and any other proof of entry requirements.
All continuing students must show proof of attempting the previous papers that were funded by GATE. They must also show proof of having registered with the Professional Body (ABE).
Duration Of Programme
The ABE Level 4 Diploma can be completed in six to nine months.
