The aim of this course is to go beyond the basic concept taught in PLC 1 and introduce more advanced topics and practical programming projects. Course is 60% hands on.

• Decimal / Binary / Octal
• BCD / Gray Code / ASC11 code

2) Digital Logic

• Truth Tables
• Logic Gates
• Digital Logic to Ladder Logic Conversion

3) PLC Languages: ST / IL / FBD

4) MCR, ZCL, Jump and Force functions

• Understanding Sequences and Drum Controllers

5) Advanced ladder logic programs

• Application of special timers and counters
• Understanding analog inputs

6) Installation and Maintenance of PLC’s

• Safety precautions
• Grounding techniques
• Troubleshooting

Registration Information

There is an administration fee of $100 to be paid when registering. The deadline to register is one week before the start date of the class after which a late administration fee of $120 will be charged.

The credit price will apply if you wish to pay a down payment and installments. The down payment is 60% of the credit price plus the administration fee. The remainder is paid in installments before the end of the course.
