BTEC HND Graphic Design

SBCS, in collaboration with Edexcel, is embarking on a new initiative in offering a new and exciting programme, the BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Graphic design scheduled to commence from January 2010.

Edexcel operates in over 110 countries, with more than two million people studying for qualifications in over 7000 centers annually. Edexcel International has the widest range of UK academic and vocational qualifications available to schools, colleges and organizations worldwide. Edexcel is the largest International awarding body approved by the UK government.

Graphic Design is about communicating a message visually. The internationally recognized HND in Graphic Design aims to prepare students for a career in the world of graphic design. This broad based programme introduces the students to the role of the designer as both visual communicator and problem solver. It is both practical and industry relevant with many courses being delivered in our state of the art labs.

These qualifications are becoming ever more important in today's fast-moving world. Employers are recruiting staff with additional skills who can contribute to the workplace in a meaningful way. An Edexcel qualification provides that stepping stone to the workplace.

Graduates will be able to gain direct access to the extended final year of UK BA (Hons.) in Graphic Design OR Graphic and Digital Design (Subject to validation/recognition).
