Job Summary

  • Required to lecture in one or more of the subject areas shown above.
  • Required to set and mark assessments (written coursework) as part of an effective teaching plan in an effort to assist students to progress towards set learning outcomes.
  • Required to assist in the preparation and development of practical facilities and provide support as required during activities.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on how to improve, capitalizing on strengths, with clear and constructive comments about weaknesses and how these might be addressed.
  • Provide advice regarding equipment upgrades.
  • Maintain an inventory database and record keeping for all equipment and materials used.
  • Implement and enforce all health and safety practices.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technicians Diploma in Automotive Technology or
  • Craftsman Diploma in Auto and Diesel Mechanics or
  • Advanced Technician Diploma in Motor Vehicle Engineering (Level 5) or
  • National Engineering Technician Diploma (NETD)  in Automotive Engineering
  • Any additional qualification relating to automotive maintenance
  • At least (3) years’ work experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures.
  •  Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Provide support and work with students from diverse educational, cultural and work backgrounds.
