On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, Dr Maggie Cooper, Programme Director, Department of Computing, Goldsmiths College, University of London visited SBCS Champs Fleurs, to meet with students and lecturers of the Diploma and BSc. (Hons) Computing and Information Systems (CIS) programmes at SBCS.
The meeting, chaired by Dr Cooper, was one where she encouraged open dialogue on all issues presented. Both lecturers and students provided feedback on the changes to the coursework submission system which were implemented this semester. Dr Cooper welcomed this and also shared advice with the students towards helping them maintain and improve their performance on the degree. She also informed the students of future programme developments, which included an announcement of the new modules to be introduced into the final year of the programme; Software Engineering Project Management, Natural Language Processing and Advanced Graphics and Animation.
Dr Cooper was a specially invited guest at our Graduation Celebration, held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Saturday, April 13, 2013. There, she greeted and congratulated all the graduates of the University of London’s BSc (Hons) Computing & Information Systems programme.
