CARICOM and International students, please note a Student Permit is required prior to commencing classes at SBCS in Trinidad and Tobago. We suggest you arrive in the country at least one (1) week before the scheduled start date of your classes to apply for a Student Permit via the Immigration Division of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as there is currently no online process.
BEFORE ARRIVAL The following documents are required by the Immigration Division and should be organized prior to your arrival: A ‘Letter of Interest’ can also be made available for you showing provisional acceptance into SBCS. ON ARRIVAL Please visit the Student Services Department at the Champs Fleurs campus who will assist you through the application process. However, you must visit the Immigration Division of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago located at #116 Frederick St, Port of Spain to apply for your Student Permit in person. Students who require a Student Permit Students who do not require a Student Permit Points to Note: Is the course you are choosing to pursue available in your country of origin? If yes, please be advised that the Immigration Division can reject your application if you do not have a valid reason for wanting to pursue studies in Trinidad and Tobago.
