SBCS was pleased to invite Mr. Bruce McLennan, Distribution Manager / Systems Trainer from Innotech Control Systems, to host a training session at our Champs Fleurs campus. The training ran from February 1st – 3rd, 2016 and included part-time lecturers with over five years’ experience, and from various fields of Engineering.
Mr. McLennan instructed the lecturers in the use of Innotech’s software and hardware, as it relates to Building Management Systems (BMS). This was especially useful to our lecturers as BMS is one of the courses taught in our Higher National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment (Building Services Engineering). The training also offered practical solutions which, along with the theory already being taught in the programme, were an added benefit.
The success of the training was evident not just by the planned adoption of the software in our current programmes, but its use as well in the development of new courses, to be unveiled in the coming months.
