SBCS has launched a new android app that allows students to view their personal class schedule on their mobile Android device. mySBCS, developed by SBCS’ Development Team, is a free mobile application that is immediately available and accessible to all registered SBCS learners. It demonstrates not only our commitment to mobile solutions and e-learning technologies, but also our drive to evolve our service delivery to stay relevant to our learners’ needs.
mySBCS serves to complement SBCS’ scheduling practices, by providing real-time updates to class statuses, including time changes, postponements and cancellations. It extends our notification reach at times of unplanned changes, beyond the customary telephone and email notices which, outside of regular office hours, may temporarily go unanswered, or unattended. This is of even greater importance when considering the learners who travel to us from Tobago and regional islands to attend classes. Deeper integration with the institution’s social media and e-learning platforms is envisioned as we aim to expand our capabilities in developing mobile applications to enhance the learning experience at SBCS.
The app stands as a boon to our efforts of communicating updates to our learners, when it matters to them most.
