University of Sunderland (UoS) representatives, Mr. Chris Marshall – Associate Dean- International Development, Ms. Yvonne Dixon – Centre Leader for SBCS and Ms. Jayne Adams – Senior Lecturer in Business and Management visited SBCS over the period Sunday, September 2, 2012 to Wednesday, September 5, 2012 to conduct the university’s annual teaching sessions.
These sessions are designed to enhance our academic and student support as we prepare our undergraduates for academic achievement. A number of our students benefited greatly from the lectures conducted by Mr. Marshall, Ms. Dixon and Ms. Adams. Additionally, peer observations of SBCS lecturers were conducted by the University’s team at our Champs Fleurs and San Fernando campuses.
During this period our guests also met with our Executive Director, Dr. Robin Maraj, SBCS’ UoS Administrative staff and members of the faculty to discuss academic and administrative matters, the focus being on improvement, growth and new opportunities.
SBCS’ administrative team and students deeply appreciated the visit and we look forward to hosting our UoS representatives next year.
