Dr. Peter Black, Edexcel’s External Verifier for the BTEC Higher National Diploma in Media programme, visited the POS Campus (Centre for Media Studies) on Friday, July 1, to conduct the annual quality visit. He met with the administrative team, including the Programme Manager and Academic Programme Leader, to review the progress of the programme. He also met with a panel of lecturers who are currently teaching courses on the programme, to ensure that the courses are being delivered up to standard and that assessments are in line with Edexcel’s requirements. In addition he met with a cross section of students from the current cohorts to discuss their views on the programme.
The Media programme is currently being upgraded to a Higher National Diploma in Creative Media Production. The first intake will be in September 2011.
