Published: 4:17 PM on June 16, 2018

SBCS’ Centre for Media, Communication, and Design (CMCD), recently commenced Digital Media Skills training with the Social Justice Foundation (SJF) via the SBCS Diploma in Media and Graphic Design. A total of ten (10) trainees are currently engaged in practical and theoretical training sessions, which will equip them with the skills needed to actively engage in working with local youth in rural communities.

The Social Justice Foundation was one of six (6) finalists to receive a training grant for Global Skills Promotion Programme; an initiative that was spearheaded by the Ministry of Planning and Development in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank.

Earlier this year, SBCS was approved by Pearson and the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) to offer this diploma programme in Media and Graphic Design. Previously, this programme was offered as a Matriculation or foundation pathway, which has now become a full-fledged diploma.
