On Friday, April 20, 2012, Dr. Sarah Rauchas, Deputy Director, Department of Computing, Goldsmiths College, University of London visited SBCS Champs Fleurs, where she toured the campus and met with students of the Computing and Information Systems (CIS) diploma and degree programmes. She marveled at the facilities available to the students, being particularly impressed with the classrooms, labs, and library spaces.

After the tour, a meet and greet was held with a cross section of CIS students, ranging from the Diploma level to graduates of the programme. Here, the students engaged in conversations with Dr. Rauchas, commenting on the programme and voicing queries and suggestions for improvements. Dr. Rauchas in turn, used this opportunity to inform the students of some future developments of the CIS programme. She encouraged open dialogue on the matter and noted the feedback received from the students, for consideration.

She also attended our Graduation Celebration, held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Saturday, April 21, 2012 where she greeted and congratulated the graduates of the University of London’s BSc Honours Computing & Information Systems programme.
