Published: 12:00 AM on May 16, 2013

As part of SBCS’ on-going effort to provide students with a unique education experience, our full time students are exposed to a number of Life Skills Training Courses to enhance their skills base.

On Friday, April 12, 2013 another group of full time ABE students participated in practical exercises, which required them to present individual event concepts themed “From Concept to Reality” for their Introduction to Event Management, Life Skills Training Course. Some of the themes presented include:

• Hawaiian Birthday Party
• Stars Among Us – High School Graduation
• Soca Princess Reunion
• Middle Eastern Wedding
• Winter Fairy Tale Wedding
• Red Dust
• A Royal Wedding
• Breakfast Pool party
• Damask of Love
• Peach and Green Affair

Their lecturer, Ms Yvette Weekes, exposed students to the various elements of hosting an event. Students conceptualised their events and brought them to reality through their presentations.

This event was attended by members of Course Administration, their peers from groups one and two, as well as the wider full time student population.
