Student Council Elections were held at the Champs Fleurs campus on April 2nd and 3rd, 2014. Students came out in their numbers to exercise their right to vote for their new Student Council.
The week began with an Open Forum on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014. This was an opportunity for the candidates to present their declaration of intentions to the student body. Students in turn, challenged the respective candidates in efforts to determine who would be the best contender for each position.
On Wednesday and Thursday, students lined up patiently to cast their ballot. By Thursday evening, the anticipation was notably high, with students frequently visiting the Student Services department asking for poll results. It was a tight race but a new Student Council has been declared!
The new executive committee of the Student Council 2014-2015 is as follows:
President: Andria Parillon
Vice President: Keshanna Singh
Treasurer: Mon’im Mohammed
Social Events Coordinator: Amanda Joyeau
Public Relations Officer: Malaysia Hewitt
Sports Representative: Brandon Thompson
The Student Services Department congratulates the new members of the Student Council and we wish them a productive term!
