The Champs Fleurs, San Fernando and Trincity Libraries celebrated Labour Day with displays commemorating the anniversary of the Butler Oilfield Riots that took place in 1937.
The displays depicted the historical timeline of the labour movement in Trinidad and Tobago and paid homage to some of its pioneers (Tubal Uriah “Buzz” Butler, Arthur Andrew Cipriani, George Weekes, Adrian Cola Rienzi, Elma Francois and C.L.R. James).
The SBCS Libraries extend Labour Day greetings to all our students.
