SBCS was one of forty-one exhibitors at AMCHAM’s 15th Annual HSSE Conference & Exhibitors held on Wednesday, September 28th and Thursday, September 29th. This year’s theme was “The Paradigm Shift – Advancing a Culture of HSSE Excellence”.
AmCham T&T’s HSSE Conference & Exhibition is the largest gathering of professionals from the fields of Occupational Safety and Health, Security, Environmental & Disaster Management under the same roof.
This two day session included a number of Technical Sessions, Panel Discussions and a Youth Forum which was attended by 150 students from Secondary Schools throughout the country.
The conference was formally opened by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Labour Minister Errol Mcleod, and American Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Beatrice Weltes. After the ribbon cutting, the group accompanied by AMCHAM President Simon Aqui viewed each booth and presented the exhibitors with a token of appreciation for participating in the conference.
SBCS featured Health, Safety and Environment programmes offered by the University of Greenwich. Visitors to the booth obtained information on the Bsc. (Hons) Occupational Safety, Health & Environment and the Msc. Occupational Hygiene/ Safety, Health & Environment. Conference attendees were also able to learn more about the other long programmes and short courses offered by SBCS.
