During the period November 4th – 8th, 2012 a dynamic SBCS team of 6 visited Barbados for the UK Education Sector Trade Mission, hosted by the British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Paul Brummell.

At the event, SBCS represented our UK Partner, Edinburgh Business School (EBS), Heriot Watt University, and showcased the programmes offered by the Business school, as well as the many other universities and professional associations that we currently partner with, in addition to the Training and Development services offered by SBCS.

We were able to hold meetings with organizations interested in training and development, including one on one with Senior Executives from key companies in Barbados such as the Barbados Light and Power Company Ltd, Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Republic Bank Ltd formerly Barbados National Bank etc. and attendance to the two day International College Fair where over 50 UK Institutes participated.

At the College fair, SBCS’ booth was visited by many school leavers who were excited over our Accounting and Graphics courses, as well as the many other career pathways available. Students gleefully participated in the “Try Your Hand” game where SBCS paraphernalia were distributed to the lucky winners, leaving a powerful impression in the minds of many.

The Education mission was a success as we met a number of prospective clients whom we aim to assist in 2013.

Senior Manager, San Fernando campus Mrs. Terry Amirali-Rambharat headed the team; other attendees were Ms. Selina Lewis, Supervisor – Academic and Administrative Support, CEC department Champs Fleurs campus, Mrs. Lois Marcelle-Kennedy, Senior Course Administrator, Trincity campus and SBCS’ Marketing team members Mrs. Sasha Chaitram, Ms. Natalie Peltier and Ms. Anastasia Balthazar.
