On Thursday March 1, 2012 SBCS participated in a career guidance seminar hosted by the Union/Claxton Bay Secondary School entitled “Entering Doors to Successful Careers“. The interactive and informative seminar was organized by the Guidance Officer, Mrs. Patricia Ogilvie-Frederick. The event was aimed at preparing students to further their academic/technical/vocational studies after completing Fifth Form.
SBCS’Marketing Associate, Sasha Yathali presented to over three hundred (300) Form 3, Form 4 and Form 5 students on the various career pathways offered at SBCS to attaining qualifications from CXC/CSEC to Degree programmes. Assistant Course Administrator, Rajmani Teelucksingh, also interacted with the students and parents at the booth display and offered further career guidance for the areas of study in which they seemed interested.
