Yet another milestone was recorded in the history of SBCS Trincity as on Saturday, May 24, 2014, the campus’ Student Recreation Centre was formally opened. Executive Director, Dr. Robin Maraj and Campus Manager, Mr. Kevon Allen hosted a small gathering of students, lecturers and staff at a brief ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion.
Said Mr. Allen of the Recreation Centre, “This space has been designed to afford students a means to relax and refresh themselves, while they engage their studies; at appropriate times, of course. It represents yet another of our efforts, to realise a full-time student experience at the campus.”
Student Council members from SBCS’ Champs Fleurs campus joined the HND Graphic Design (Trincity) students as amongst the first to make use of the new leisure facility. Not to be left out, lecturers and staff also participated briefly in quick games of pool and table tennis.
This Student Recreation Centre stands as a manifestation of our continuous desire, to keep our learning environment relevant to the needs of our students, and another example of what makes SBCS a great place to learn.
