Capturing six out of the eight prizes in the Teleios Code Jam Competition 2013, SBCS teams “Design Rev” and “Stack Overflow” proved that to be the best you learn from the best.
The Teleios Code Jam competition is an initiative of Teleios Systems Limited which is intended to test the skills and creativity of entrants through software development. The competition targets tertiary level students from schools throughout the country and challenges them to create innovative solutions for real world problems.
Having won not only the Overall 1st (Team Design Rev) and 3rd (Team Stack Overflow) place prizes in the competition the Design Rev team also walked away with prizes for Best Code, Best Presentation, Best Code Challenge and Most Innovative.
These University of Greenwich BSc (Hons) Computing and Information Systems students have indeed made their SBCS family proud.
Kristen Waithe of Team Design Rev commented:
“Without the mentorship of (Lecturer) Mr. Derek Haqq and support from (Lecturer) Mrs. Sheena Sylvester, the SBCS UoG team and our friends, this endeavor would have definitely been more challenging. The UoG BSc CIS programme provided the foundation needed to take our project to completion”
Congratulations to our Teams:
Team Design Rev – (Kristen Waithe, Keisha Waithe)
Team Stack Overflow – Jesse Tamer, Suzannah Williams and Kevin D’Andrade
The next generation of Software Developers.
