Our San Fernando Campus hosted its annual Welcome Day on Friday, September 27th, 2013 where new and returning full time students were entertained with music and giveaways, and engaged in club sign-ups, live performances and informative presentations. The “Old School Dance-Off” was most popular for our students and staff who proved to be talented dancers, as evidenced by their performances. Arrive Alive and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service shared our Welcome Day event presenting real life scenarios of how drivers and pedestrians lose their lives due to carelessness and irresponsible driving.
Student Services thanks our motivational speaker: Mr. Roger Samaroo, who advised students about the significance of hard work, perseverance and academic accomplishment.
We ended the event with a serenade from two of our students, leaving us to say: Welcome Day = Mission Accomplished! We hope our students left informed, entertained and intrigued about upcoming events. We look forward to continued student and staff support in October and beyond.
