The Gift of Giving at Champs Fleurs

Published: 12:00 AM on December 16, 2014

The newly elected Student Council (CF) started their term in office with quite a bang. Their Christmas show, aptly titled “The Gift of Giving”, was a festive mix of musical performances, games and giveaways and even a bit of magic. Hosted by FIA student, Randy Jacob, the show consisted of performances by the likes of budding local celebrity (and University of Sunderland student) Joshua Boodram and a piano rendition of “The First Noel” by University of London student, Cassandra Bachan.

Social Events Coordinator, Cheyenne Jones, gave quite an entertaining performance, singing “Santa Baby” with Santa himself, who seems to have made a guest appearance. ABE student, Johan Raghoo, proved why he won the title of People’s Choice for Karaoke in September, as he brought the house down (again) with his own version of a Scrunter soca parang classic. And finally, host Randy Jacob wowed the audience with a number of magic tricks. The student body is quite keen to see what else the Student Council has in store for next year.

Kudos to the Student Council, who planned and executed the event seamlessly in such a short space of time.

The Student Council and Student Services Department wish everyone a safe and happy holidays and best wishes for 2015!
