SBCS hosted representatives from the University of Sunderland for their annual teaching visit. A delegation of two lecturers, Ms. Karen Wharton and Ms. Kristina Brown, and Associate Dean – International Development, Mr. Chris Marshall visited SBCS from September 4th – 9th 2013.
The visitors interacted with students, gave guest lectures and also attended lectures delivered by local faculty at our campuses in Trincity, Champs Fleurs and San Fernando.
On the campus tours, they were able to experience our upgraded library and lab facilities as well as the new student recreation centre in San Fernando.
At the meetings with management and administrative staff, the discussions centered on developments at both institutions, initiatives for improvement, as well as potential areas for further collaboration.
The annual teaching visits are an essential part of our collaboration with the University of Sunderland. While primarily directed at students, it also gives faculty, administration and management, opportunity to interact face to face with University staff. We look forward to next year’s visit.
