The University of Greenwich (UoG) – Department of Creative Professions and Digital Arts conducted its annual link tutor visit during the period Monday, April 28 – Thursday, May 1, 2014. The Centre for Media Studies (CMS) located at SBCS’ POS campus welcomed Dr. Gauti Sigthorsson – Programme Leader and International Link Tutor for Media and Communications as well as Mr. David Waterworth – Lecturer of the Creative Projects unit.
In addition to the standard meetings with Management, faculty and students, both Dr. Sigthorsson and Mr. Waterworth hosted a workshop with students and faculty. The visit also coincided with a Project Display of the students’ work for the Creative Projects unit. Both Mr. Waterworth and Dr. Sigthorsson were quite pleased with the quality of work produced by the students and the guidance and support provided by Faculty and Administration.
The highlight of the visit was the Centre’s annual BA Alumni Reunion. This year the event was held at Rossco’s on Thursday, May 1, 2014. To date 85 students have graduated from SBCS with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Media and Communications from the UoG.
