Leave it to SBCS’ Design Campus to execute an ‘out-of-the-box’ solution to promote Breast Cancer Awareness; quite literally in this case, as the campus’ façade was bathed in Fuchsia Pink lights on Friday night (October 28, 2016). The spectacle punctuated a month-long campaign by SBCS to promote Cancer Awareness.
Throughout October, SBCS engaged in various ventures to support the ongoing fight against the disease. From the purchase and promotion of the JBF Be Better Bears, to staffers’ involvement in cause-related 5K runs, to the collection of contributions from staff and students, the teams at SBCS truly gave of themselves to lend support to this worthy cause. Though, the administrators at Trincity Campus took things up a notch.
The interior décor of the campus was augmented with pink paraphernalia, complete with staff members donning some elements of pink in their work attire. However, the pièce de résistance was revealed when the lights went out, Friday evening. Beams of light shot forth from their arrangement to create a somewhat iridescent pink sheen as they washed over the campus’ front exterior. The display was as impressive in sight, as it was in symbolism and meaning.
Our thanks to all stakeholders for assisting in our Cancer awareness campaign for 2016.
