Course Brief

This module is focused on the design, development and testing of object-oriented, data-driven and interactive applications. The module provides valuable knowledge and skills about the theoretical and practical aspects of programming. Acquiring those knowledge and skills improves future employability and professional prospects. Special attention is paid to solving real-world problems by utilising high-level programming languages.

  1. Demonstrate detailed understanding of established industrial standards by writing software requirements specifications for object-oriented, data-driven and interactive applications.
  2. Design object-oriented, data-driven and interactive applications by using UML.
  3. Develop and test object-oriented, data-driven and interactive applications by applying object-oriented principles, such as encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance and polymorphism.
  4. Apply advanced object-oriented techniques to develop advanced software solutions, which solve real-world problems.

  • BSc (Hons) Computing

    The BSc (Hons) Computing programme with specialisms in network systems or information systems is offered by SBCS Global Learning Institute, in collaboration with the University of Greenwich (UK). It is recognized by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) and is the next step after completing any one of the qualifications listed below:
