Programme Brief
CISI’s International Introduction to Securities and Investment (IISI) provides a comprehensive introduction to the financial services industry with a specific focus on investments from a global perspective. As well as being a standalone qualification, this programme is the introductory unit of CISI’s Investment Operations Certificate (IOC).
Who should attend?
This qualification is intended for new entrants who are beginning their career in the financial services industry. It is also suited to new or experienced investors with an interest in acquiring a more detailed understanding of investment products and financial markets. The programme covers key financial principles and products including assets and markets, equities, bonds, derivatives, investment funds, retirement planning, loans, mortgages, life assurance and protection insurance.
What's more, through the partnership between CISI and ACCA, ACCA members and affiliates can join CISI without having to pay an initial membership joining fee (worth up to £50).

Registration deadline date for each period ends four (4) days before the start of the class sessions.

- SBCS GLI Registration fee - TTD$150.00 or USD$23.00 (payable to SBCS GLI)
- CISI Registration Fee - £40 (to be paid to CISI)

HOW TO REGISTER
Step 1 – Confirm your eligibility. (No formal prerequisite qualifications are required to register for this programme)
Step 2 – Please complete the Online Programme Registration Form, and click submit.
Once the form has been completed, please proceed to make your payment via any of the the following options below (Step 3):
Step 3 – Payment can be made via Direct deposit / Online bank transfer. Please click here for further instructions regarding the banking options available.
Please note that online bank transfers can be done from the following banking institutions – Republic Bank, Royal Bank, First Citizens Bank and Scotia Bank.
Step 4 – WI Pay (Credit Card) – If you wish to utilize this method, please forward an email to atec@sbc.edu.tt indicating if you would be paying the full cost or whether you would like to access any of our payment plan options. Once this is confirmed, an invoice will then be forwarded via email.

About the Examination
The International Introduction to Securities and Investment qualification is examined via computer based testing and exams take place throughout the year.
The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and lasts 1 hour.
Candidates sitting the exam by Computer Based Testing may have, in addition, up to 10% additional questions as trial questions that will not be separately identified and do not contribute to the result. Candidates will be given proportionately more time to complete the test.
The objective of the examination is to provide candidates with a basic introduction to the financial services industry with a particular focus on investments. It will test candidates’ knowledge and understanding of the following elements:
