In today’s fast-paced, global environment, marketing is crucial to the commercial success of any business. The University of Sunderland’s BA (Hons) Business and Marketing Top-up degree is a balance of focus, that combines both business subjects and a marketing specialism to prepare students for employment in a diverse range of careers in both disciplines. Studying business and marketing together grants a unique understanding of organisations and their management, and the varied ways marketing is used to determine and demonstrate the quality and usefulness of products, brands and services.
The BA (Hons) Business and Marketing programme can be earned in 11 months on a Full Time basis and 18 months on a Part Time basis. As a graduate of this course, you will have excellent skills and knowledge in marketing management, planning, strategy and digital marketing.

The typical entry requirement is successful completion of an HND or its equivalent as follows:
- ABE Diploma
- **COSTAATT Associate Degree:
- **ROYTEC Associate Degree – Business Management
- **UWI Associate of Science – Business Management
- 240 credits or equivalent of a recognised UK undergraduate award in a relevant subject
We will consider applications from applicants who do not hold one of the qualifications in the list above but do hold an equivalent professional qualification at Level 5.
** Applications will be assessed on an individual basis by the University of Sunderland for eligibility onto the programme. Please note that a module in marketing or a related subject area must be studied as part of the entry qualification.
The BA (Hons) Business and Marketing Top Up Degree programme comprises of six modules and tuition for these are available via Full Time and Part Time modes.
Our intakes are March and September of each year.
