Course Brief
This module gives an overview of statistics, introducing basic ideas and concepts at a general level, before dealing with them in greater detail in later modules. The purpose is to provide a gentle way into the subject for those without a statistical background, in response to the cynical view that it is not possible for anyone to read a statistical text unless they have read it before.
