From this unit, learners will be introduced to the fundamental elements of drawing, photography and image creation, print and digital publications. The exploration of various approaches to layout and typography will form a core part of the unit, in addition to the creation and use of digital photographic images. The use of photo media and related technologies will enable learners to develop technical skills in employing the use of images in various communication contexts. As such, the creation of relevant and effective design choices will support the use of desktop publishing tools and image creation.
