This course equips students with the expertise to design kitchens and bathrooms that are functional, safe, and visually appealing. Core topics include planning, ergonomics, building systems, materials, lighting, sustainability, universal design, and professional documentation. Students will apply industry standards and current trends to complete residential kitchen and bathroom projects.

- Beginner interior design students interested in building foundational skills in space planning, materials, lighting, and furniture selection.

- Future interior designers who wish to establish a strong foundation in design principles, creative thinking, and spatial planning.

Requirements for Online Sessions:
- Windows OS or MAC OS X : Windows 10
- Office: Microsoft Office 2019 (Office 2016 is similar to the 2019 version)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader
Administration fee: US $23 / TT $150
Registration deadline: One week before the scheduled start date of the class.
Payment Plan: 50% down payment of the tuition to start the class and the balance to be paid by the end of the course. However, should you require a payment plan more tailored to you, feel free to let us know so we can discuss it further.

All relevant information about accessing online sessions will be sent via email within 3-5 working days.

4. Payment of TT$2,450.00 can be made via a direct or in bank deposit as directed here.
Once you have deposited the required payment, please email and attach a copy of the stamped deposit slip to Centre for Media, Communication & Design (CMCD) [email protected] informing of such.
Once CMCD verifies the deposit, final registration details will be forwarded to the student.

On completion of this programme, participants should: –
- Analyse client requirements and develop functional kitchen and bathroom layouts.
- Apply ergonomic, anthropometric, and universal design principles.
- Select appropriate cabinetry, fixtures, appliances, finishes, and materials.
- Prepare professional kitchen and bathroom plans, elevations, and specifications.
- Design efficient workspaces using accepted planning guidelines.
- Coordinate lighting, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and storage requirements.
- Present complete kitchen and bathroom design proposals
